Ananda in the Himalayas Rose Toner Review
First I want to apologize for the blurry images. I noticed it only when writing the post though I took the pictures last month and the problem is both with the camera and with the lighting. and now I have finished the rose water so could not retake the pictures. So, now coming to the review, as few of you might know I love using floral waters without any additives, preservatives as a toner, facial spray for my combination dry skin and have been trying rose water from different brands. I have already reviewed the rose waters from, Good Earth, Forest Essentials, Kama Ayurveda, Fabindia, and Oilcrafts. So, today’s review is on the rose toner from Ananda in the Himalayas spa and I have already reviewed their aloe gel and rose distillate hydrating facial mask here which I loved a lot. After using that face mask, I browsed through their website to look at the products they have and saw this rose toner. Ever since this has been on my wish list and I recently bought it to try out. Let’s see how this turned out.
₹ 845 for 200 mL
About the Product
Containing distillate of Kashmiri wild rose
Gentle and protecting in nature, so gentle it can even be used around the eyes. It rebalances and hydrates the skin and men can also use it as a way to naturally calm razor burn and as an after shave.
The rose water from Ananda in the Himalayas comes in a transparent plastic bottle and it would have been nice if it had a spray. I transferred it into another spray bottle and using it currently. The rose water is colorless, does not have any artificial fragrance and smell soothingly of real roses. I mostly just spray the rose water to my face after washing my face with face wash leaving it to air-dry. My face feels lightly hydrated, soft, skin feels soothed and this rose water will suit people with all skin types. Almost all the rose waters I have reviewed in my blog earlier has almost the same qualities mentioned above along with the smell except for the Fabindia rose water which smells slightly different but still natural. It’s the price that varies between the rose waters and till date I find Oilcraft and Fabindia the most affordable among pure rose waters that I have tried.
Smells mildly and lovely of real roses
Leaves the skin lightly hydrated
Calms and soothes the skin if the skin is irritated due to sunburn or dryness
Pure 100% rose water with no added, colors, chemicals or fragrances
Can be used on all skin types
Costly for a rose water
Not available widely online
A spray bottle would have been much practical
Prettykooll rating: 4/5
I am still planning to buy rose water from other brands to compare not the colored ones but the pure ones and see which ticks all the list in terms of quality, quantity, price, and availability. So, expect more rose water reviews in the future and I will also do a comparison post sometime after I have reviewed few more rose waters. The ones I currently have in mind to try from Indian brands are from Ma Earth botanicals and Bare Essentials Avera (which I have tried earlier). I have already tried Patanjali and Dabur but had some issues with them. So, what is your favorite brand of rose water and which one should I try that I have not tried before?
