Biotique Bio Honey Gel Hydrating Face Wash Review
I am back from India to Finland and loving the warm shining Finnish sun 🙂 and the lovely weather. It was very hot in India at my place but had a great time with family, friends, enjoyed loads of food, shopping etc etc. Today I am reviewing the Biotique Bio honey hydrating face wash.
₹ 375 for 300 mL
Ingredients & About the Product:
Contains Banhaldi (Curcuma aromatica), Arjun (Terminalia arjuna), Neem (Malia azadirachta indica), Ritha (Sapindus mukorossi), Ananas (Ananas comosus), Madhu (Mel), Purified himalayan water Q.S.
This fresh-foaming, 100% soap-free gel is blended with pure honey and extracts from the bark of the arjun tree, euphorbia plant and wild turmeric. Dissolves makeup and impurities, softens skin and helps lighten the complexion.
I have combination-oily skin and that’s why I started using hydrating face washes to prevent the formation of dry patches on my skin. I finished the Aroma magic grapefruit face wash reviewed here, which I liked a lot, as it was neither hydrating nor drying, thus, being perfect for the spring summer season in Turku. I got the Biotique bio honey gel hydrating face wash as my skin was feeling drier from travelling a lot and I was not able to take care of my skin properly when I was in India. Biotique products are generally a hit or miss for me as few have worked well in the past and others did not work at all. I have not tried their face washes and got the big pack one as it claimed to be hydrating. The face wash comes in pump packaging which I like and dispense proper amount of the cleanser. This is a revamped packaging and Biotique products have been changed to more colourful packaging from their boring green color packaging before. The face wash looks reddish orange in colour in the bottle, but when dispensed comes out colourless. The face wash has an herbal fragrance which will not be liked by everyone and I am not a fan of this particular fragrance. As claimed, it has a gel texture and spreads easily in the skin. Though it is soap free, it lathers well which could be due to the presence of Ritha, effectively cleanses the face, washes off easily and also removes mild makeup. I did not find the face wash to be hydrating at all as claimed and sometimes when my skin is drier than usual, it leaves a tight feeling and on other days when it is oilier the skin feels ok though not hydrated. So, this will best suit people with oily skin and people with combination skin in summers, but people with dry skin have to stay away from this. I am using a cream cleanser to remove my light makeup and then wash my face with this face wash so my face does not get dried so much and I also spray my face with rose water as always to avoid the tight feeling. If you have dry skin or combination skin like me and using it in winters or colder times, you have to moisturize the skin well to avoid the feeling of dryness. If you are looking for a hydrating face wash, you can skip this, but otherwise it is a good one for oily skin people.
Face wash comes in a pump packaging and the smaller ones come in a tube packaging

It is not hydrating as claimed , so moisturization is essential
Not a fan of the herbal smell of this particular product
Will not suit dry or combination dry skin people
Prettykooll rating: 3/5 (Claim to be hydrating but did not do so)
