Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream With Clary Sage Review

Hi all,

Here comes the review of the night cream from the intense hydration range by Burt’s Bees.  I have already reviewed the cream cleanser and day lotion from this range here & here.

The night cream comes in a glass tub packaging which is heavy and I know many might not prefer this kind of packaging.  The cream smells similar to the cleanser & day lotion but the smell fades away few seconds post application.  The night cream is really thick but spreads well and get absorbed into the skin within few seconds of massage.  Once absorbed, it leaves the skin well hydrated and does not feel greasy at all which surprised me for its thick texture and it does not make me sweat like the day lotion. But, due its thickness I think this cream can be used only in winters by those who have dry or combination dry skin.  If you have dry skin and also if you get dry patches during winters like me this cream will take few days to completely smoothen the dry patches.  This made a very nice moisturizing cream for the harsh Finnish winters and my skin never felt parched or stretchy when I woke up in the mornings.

Pros

Thick cream that spreads well and absorbs well with little massage

Smell is quite ok or maybe I got used to it (though it is a personal preference)

Moisturizing without feeling greasy

Suits dry or combination dry skin well

Ingredient list looks promising with 99% natural extracts & oils

Available widely in shops & online in the USA

Cons

Costly but it is almost natural and one tub will last for 3-4 months

Glass tub packaging feels bulky and not everyone like the tub packaging especially for traveling

Does not improve skin tone or make any difference to the skin

Availability and the cost difference is definitely a problem other than the USA

Prettykooll rating: 4/5

Burt’s bee products always work but availability is the issue here in India.. if incase you manage to find it somehow, It will be overpriced here…

A lot of natural products in the market do tend to be expensive. This one sounds quite nice for dry skin.

It’s just a basic moisturizer. You are quite a Burt Bee’s fan 🙂
