Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Range – Skin Care Companion for winter
So, it’s winter in most part of the globe and living in Finland our winter temperature at my place varies from 0 degrees to -25 degrees. Currently, we are living between -10 to -20 degrees and the harsh winter outside along with the indoor heating leaves the skin very dry if not moisturized well enough. My skin has become more dry than usual, so I wanted some heavy moisturizer for the winter. I usually stay away from products that are loaded with chemicals just because in my past experience I have seen those that I have used, they do nothing great for the skin, so why to load the skin with chemicals when you get the same benefit from natural based ones. I used the L’Oreal hydrafresh range for summer which was light weight & good for summer but then the day & night cream had so much alcohol in them which dried out my skin when the weather turned slightly cold and they did nothing miraculous to the skin but had a list of chemicals along with some natural ingredients. So, this time I was planning to try products from the same brand for both day & night this time and was thinking about getting it either from Kama Ayurveda or Forest Essentials just because they are more natural though few of Kama Ayurveda’s products have chemicals in them and the full ingredient list of Forest Essentials is not known. And the Forest Essentials products I have used in the past did not give any miraculous results for its hefty price tag. Then, I heard that one of my friends is coming from the USA to Finland and immediately placed an order for the Burt’s Bees intense hydration range as it is not as costly in the USA as it is in Finland or India. I have heard mixed reviews about this range and got 3 products to try out.
Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser with Clary Sage
Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion with Clary Sage
Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream with Clary Sage
These have clary sage as one of the principle ingredients as this plant grows in a harsh environment and has an exceptional ability to trap and retain moisture which is the inspiration behind this range of products. So, I have started using the products from this month and my first impressions are they have a floral kind of fragrance which might be strong for some people though I like it, the cleanser is very mild and does not leave the skin dry, the day lotion & night cream have a heavy texture and takes some time to skin into the skin, but leave the skin non-greasy & well moisturized. I will use it for at least 2 months before I review it, so stay tuned for a detailed review in the future.
Have you used products from this range & what is your impression?
