Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream Review & Giveaway [CLOSED]

Hey everyone,

Today’s review is on the Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream with nourishing Vitamin E (100% natural).  This is one of the best selling products from Burts Bees and was in my wish list for a long time.  There is a giveaway of the same product about which I have written at the end of this review.  My cuticles were getting very dry in Turku and The Body Shop hand & nail cream reviewed here usually provide enough moisturization for my dry cuticles.  But, as I was experimenting with different hand creams which did not do anything to my cuticles and left it dry.  Hence, I purchased this cuticle cream and let’s see how it fared for me.bur11

US$ 6 (≅₹ 380) in USA;  £5.40 (≅₹ 533) for 17g in feelunique.com where I brought it.  This is more costly in feelunique and I could not find Burts Bees in Turku where I live.

About the Product:

Specially formulated, this buttery cream taps Sweet Almond Oil and Cocoa Seed Butter to moisturize and soften your cuticles while Vitamin E and Sunflower Oil nourish brittle nails. Feel pampered and polished from tips to toes.

• Moisturizes and softens cuticles with Sweet Almond Oil and Cocoa Seed Butter
• Nourishes brittle nails with Vitamin E and Sunflower Oil
• Fresh Lemon scent

Prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, Beeswax, Citrus medica limonum (lemon) peel oil, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, Beta-carotenerosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, Tocopherol, Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Glycine soja (soybean) oil, Canola oil, Vegetable oil.

Burts Bees Lemon butter cuticle cream comes in a tin tub packaging which is travel friendly. I purchased it from feelunique.com where it is slightly expensive compared to buying it from USA.  The cuticle cream does not have a very natural lemon fragrance but smells of lemon candy which I like.  The smell fades away after sometime post application.  The hand cream has a grainy texture which melts on the skin when started massaging and gets absorbed completely.  Once absorbed, it does not feel greasy at all but it leaves the cuticles and nails well moisturised. A tiny amount is required each time for application, but if you use more than the required quantity, then it takes quite some time to get absorbed.  I usually apply it at night time before going to bed and my cuticles get well nourished.  But the moisturization effect is not enough during very cold winters when my cuticles get very dry.  At those times, I feel the need to use the cream once every 3-4 hours during day time when my cuticles get dry.  So, if you have very dry cuticles then the moisturization effect might not last very long.    Very small amount of cream is needed each time and hence it will lasts you for around 6 months or more if you apply twice a day.  This cuticle cream works really well if you have hang nails or very dry cuticles and will soften it and prevent the formation of hang nails with continuos use.  I was suffering from both dry cuticles and hang nails and this brought back my cuticles back to a very good condition in a couple of uses.

Giveaway of Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream (2 winners each will get one Burts Bees Lemon Butter Curicle Cream)

Now about the giveaway, I was planning to buy the lemon butter cuticle cream and asked my sister to buy it from USA who was traveling to India and we planned to meet when I go to India in July.  She promised to buy it before leaving from USA and will keep me informed if she buys it.  Then, at the end both of us got busy hence there was not so much conversation and I assumed she forgot to buy it.  So, I found it in one of the online sites in India for ₹ 600 and decided to buy it though it is costly than in USA.  I ordered online, got a message after few days that they do not have the product in stock and cancelled my order.  So,   at last I ordered it from feelunique.com and got it delivered to Turku in June and started using it.  As a big surprise, when I came to India this month (July), I found that my sister has brought it for me and also the online shop has sent me one which turned out to be a big surprise for me 🙂 Hence, I decided that I will give this product to my readers in a small giveaway.  This is open only to readers residing in or anyone who has a valid Indian address; Sorry about that but there will be an international giveaway when Prettykooll turns 1 this September 🙂 So stay tuned for it.
