Empties Post – 4

Hello everyone,

Here comes another empties post, these posts help me in keeping myself organized and I try to complete one product before moving to next one (though sometimes there are exceptions :)).  So without further delay let’s see what all I managed to empty recently.

 1.  Oilcraft Naturals Rose Water Facial Mist

If you have been reading my blogs, you would know that I love using floral waters as toners and rose water is the most used one.  I have been trying rose water from different brands and Oilcraft is one of them.  I have already reviewed the Mogra water and Panchpushp water from Oilcraft here & here.  I did not like the Mogra one, as it had some issues and the panchpushp was good but the scent is strong, but the rose water one is perfect.  It has all the qualities needed for a good rose water at an affordable range.  I have used the rose water from many brands and also reviewed few of them starting with the expensive ones like Foreset Essentials, Kama Ayurveda, Good Earth which was my most favorite till date, but currently, I would pick this up over the others just for the affordable price range with same quality.  I am still trying rose water from other brands so let’s see if I find another favorite one.

2.  Biotique Bio Honey Gel hydrating Face wash

This is a huge 300 mL bottle that lasted me for around 8 months as I use it once a day in the evening.  It is an affordable gentle face wash that does not strip off the moisture from the skin but cleans effectively, removes nonwaterproof makeup and impurities and has been my companion throughout the cold seasons in Finland.  I am not a big favorite of the herbal smell, got bored of using it continuously and will not buy it in the near future.  You can read the complete review here.

3.  Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment

I have been using this oil continuously once a week for around 10 months.  I usually keep it for 30 minutes to 1 hour, it conditions the hair lightly even in harsh cold weather.  I think keeping it overnight would help in the oil to work well for the scalp and hair.  I oil my hair with this, use The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture shampoo but I need to wash my hair twice to remove the oil completely.  I did not see any drastic difference in hair growth or hair fall as I did not use it quite regularly, but nonetheless this is a good hair oil though I will not be repurchasing it as it is also costly and I think normal coconut or other thick hair oil would also do the job.

4.  Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Hydrating Seaweed Gel Pack

This 200 mL tube lasted me for 1.5 years, I use it once a week or sometimes twice a week, especially in winters.  It is an affordable good gel pack that also hydrates the skin and continuous use helps in retaining the moisture in the skin better.  I love the Ananda rose aloe gel distillate face mask which I reviewed here mainly for the smell but this is a good alternative.  You can read the complete review here.  This is also on my favorite list and currently, I am planning to try gel face mask from other brands.

5.  L’Oreal hydrafresh Mask-in Lotion

If you remember the L’Oreal hydrafresh products that I used last summer, I also got this mask in lotion to use during the autumn.  I have been using it last autumn and took a break as the weather got colder and finished it during spring this year.  This is more like a moisturizing sticky liquid that takes sometimes absorb and work as a barrier on the skin but does not provide any benefits otherwise.  The best thing is I used to use this with BB/CC creams during winter to make it more hydrating and this does that very well without altering the shade or texture of the cream as the only a couple of drops is needed.  But, I will not be repurchasing this in the future.

6.  Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Body Lotion

As I mentioned in my earlier empties, I have been using Garnier body lotion for 3-4 years continuously  and I have repurchased it a lot.  I use different variants depending on the season and the one is shown in the picture is for very dry skin.  All the variants get absorbed very fast and leave my skin very well moisturized and my skin feels ok even if I skip it without moisturizing for one day. You can read the complete review here.  You will be seeing this lotion also in my future empties post.

7.  The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo

This is my 4th bottle and after I discovered this, there is no turning back, it does not dry my hair especially the scalp and it makes an excellent hair wash for the harsh Finnish winters.  This might not suit everyone but for me, this is a must-have and this is one of the products that I keep repurchasing.  You can check the full review here.  Currently, I have got another 2 new shampoos to try out and let’s see if they replace my love that I have for this one.

9. The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter

I love TBS body butter and I got this as a part of the gift box shown here.  This has the refreshing intense citrus smell and makes a good  body butter for my dry skin in springs and summers.  The miniaturization will not be enough for me during winter but there are other body butter/lotions that I use in winters. I do not indulge in TBS body butter/lotions often as it gets finished quickly as I apply more for my dry skin in winters and is costly.

8.  Za True White Exfoliating Clay

I got this sample in one of my envy box subscriptions last year and I liked the fragrance, it is a good gentle exfoliating clay mask.  But it does not work on blackheads which are my main concern.  The sample lasted me for 3-4 uses and I am not purchasing the full size.

10.  Aesop Classic Shampoo

This is also one of the shampoo samples that I received in my envy box subscriptions last year and I did not know about the brand so I thought it was some random brand.  But the first time I used it the fragrance was so soothing and I can feel that it was enriched with essentials oils and felt like luxury product.,  When I check the brand online I found that it is an Australian based  brand and  was amazed that they have many products that cater to various needs but are quite expensive.  I liked the shampoo but it was not as gentle as the TBS rainforest one as the second main ingredient is SLS but still not drying as many other shampoos.  But the cost is high though I would like to try other products from them but their availability is also quite limited.

11.  Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser with Clary Sage

If you have been reading my blogs, you would have known that I used 3 products from the Burt’s Bees intense hydration range and they all got finished.  This cream cleanser was gentle on the skin, removed light makeup and impurities and did not dry out the skin.  I use it mostly in the mornings and also as a makeup remover as I use only light makeup in the evenings.  The smell was a bit strong at first but it kind of became ok or maybe I got used to it but it did not attract me as much as their orange cleanser and I am not planning to repurchase this in the future.  You can read the complete review here.

12.  Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion with Clary Sage

This is the product that I liked the most out of the three and this is like a cream rather than a lotion and it helped in keeping my skin hydrated in winters.  This might make your skin sweat sometimes depending on the weather, which stops in few minutes. Burt’s Bees  is hard to find in Finland and India and so I am not sure when I will repurchase this.  You can read the complete review here.

13.  Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream with Clary Sage

This is a very thick cream but gets absorbed well into the skin and leave the skin hydrated without any greasy feeling.  The trio combination prevented dry patches, but if I do not use it for few days and if I get dry patches it took few days for the dry patches to go away completely and it worked very slowly in healing them.  So, I am not keen in repurchasing the products from the range in future.

So, this concludes my empties post this time.  What have you used from the list above?  How id did work for you?  Hope you enjoyed reading it and it gave an overall opinion of the products.
