Ingredients & About the Product:
If you have read my previous posts here & here, you would have known that I am currently a soap bar addict and hoarding various natural/handmade soaps and trying them out. And I have already become a huge fan of the Forest Essentials Jasmine range after using their Jasmine night cream reviewed here and thought of trying out few products from that range. I got this sugar soap which has the fragrance of Jasmine & Mogra as I am a fan of both the floral scents. I was expecting the soap to be transparent or white in color, but it had a light sea greenish blue to it. Most of FE products smell really good and natural and do not smell artificial. So, I was expecting a really nice scent from the soap which it does have but I felt it was way too mild. Usually, the scents from soap do not stay in the skin so much after bathing, so I was expecting it to have a nice rich at the same time natural floral smell while bathing and was disappointed as the smell was very mild. But, other than that it is a very nice soap and is very smooth and soft on the skin. It does not dry the skin and calms down if there is any irritation. I love the feeling of using it on my skin and enjoyed using it. But, it melts away fast and one bar might last you 2-3 weeks if stored properly in dry condition. I think it is the case with most of the sugar soaps, thus making it bit expensive. If it had smelled at the similar level like the night cream or even a bit higher it would have become my most favorite and I would have repurchased it a lot. Hence, this will not enter it into my favorite product list here and I might try other variants in the future or the butter soaps from FE.
