Freeman Eclos Daily Facial Cleansing Oil Review

22

Hello dear readers,

Wish you all a Happy & prosperous 2016 and I am back to Turku after the relaxed vacation in London.  Today I will be reviewing the facial cleansing oil from Freeman which I am currently using to remove my makeup.  This is one of the few Freeman products I got through my sister in the USA when she came for vacation to India.

Price:

US$ 10.99 for 147 mL (≈ ₹ 730);  But you can get it for much less price during offers, currently it is in offer in the Freeman Beauty website for (US$ 5.49 (≈ ₹ 370))

Ingredients & About the Product:

Key Ingredients:
Argan Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Olive Oil, Sesame Oil, Vitamin E, Apple Stem Cell Technology

You can find the complete list of ingredients here.

A soap-free, nourishing cleansing oil that deep cleans without over-stripping skin, making it perfect for all skin types. Lightweight, non-comedogenic Argan, Kukui Nut, Olive, and Sesame oils capture and remove daily debris and make-up easily from the skin’s surface without excess friction that can agitate skin. Conditioning oils help balance sebum production, leaving dry and aging skin more moisturized while regulating excess oiliness in oily and breakout-prone skin. Vitamin E, found naturally in antioxidant-rich Argan Oil, pairs with ultra-emollient Kukui Nut Oil to soothe, soften, and hydrate skin. Daily Facial Cleansing Oil is part of the Eclos™ anti-aging skin care system. Eclos™ products are exclusively formulated with apple stem Cell Technology extracted from a rare Swiss Apple, clinically proven to reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture in 2 weeks.*

Formulated with:
• Apple Stem Cells to help reduce appearance of wrinkles + improve skin texture.
• Antioxidant Argan, Kukui Nut, Olive, and Sesame oils balance moisture and oil levels in skin to hydrate, nourish + soften.
• Safflower and Soybean cling to oils + make-up, then lift them from the skin’s surface for easy removal.
• Antioxidant Vitamin E softens and moisturizes skin, + helps protect against skin aging damage.

Directions: Dispense into dry hands and massage over face for 1-2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. For additional cleansing benefits, follow with Skin Prep Cleanser.
*100% of 20 participants in a clinical study on Apple Stem Cells experienced a decrease in wrinkle depth after 28 days.

Due to the cold weather and my combination dry skin, I prefer to initially remove my makeup with a cream or oil based cleanser and then use a foaming face wash to finally wash my face.  I was using the Fabindia Tea Tree cleansing milk which I reviewed here and when it got finished, I started using this one.  This oil has a kind of dry consistency and I have not used any oils with this texture before.  The consistency deos not feel like the other oils like cocnut or olive oil and it feels more like argan oil if you have used it.  It is light weight in texture, has a subtle smell which is not irritating, so people with sensitive nose will not find it as a problem.  I first take one or two pumps of oil, apply on my face, massage for a few seconds and then splash water and massage for around a minute and wash it off.  The oil is light weight and has a texture that does not spread well easily, so, splahing with water and massaging helps in easy removal of makeup.  It removes makeup very well, but I mostly do not use stubborn makeup, but I think it will remove them also due to its oily nature.  It leaves the skin cleansed and washes off easily with cold water too, do not leave any oily residue behind which is really good.  I mostly follow up with a foaing cleanser lik the Biotique one I am using currently using but if I am using it in the morning I just rinse it off and leaves the skin hydrated without any oiliness.  I like this one, but it does feel costly though you can get them cheap during offers and is not available easily except in the USA.  Elclos is the anti-ageing range of Freeman, but I am not sure about its claims in reducing wrinkles as I do not have any but it does keep the skin nourished as it is an oil, so the skin does not dry and feel more supple.

Pros:

Nice packagin with a properly working pump

Lightweight oil that spreads well when spalshed with water

Feels light on skin

Washes of without leaving any residue or oiliness

Removes makeup well leaving soft smooth skin

The quantity will last for 4-5 months if used once daily

Does not leave skin dry

Does not irritate skin or sting eyes.

Will suit all skin types (may be except very oily skin)

Ingredient list looks pretty impressive with almost natural ingredients except few chemicals

Cons:

Costly (but you can get them during offers at very less price)

Availability except in the USA where it is widely available.

It might be little rich for oily or combination skin people especially during summers

Prettykooll rating: 4.5/5

Seems like good cleansing oil!!! this cleansing oils are very effective in the winters, I mostly prefer oils over face wash during dry weathers, they never make skin dry or patchy!!!

    • Preethy 1 year ago
