Garnier Intensive 7 Days Restoring Hand Cream Review

2

Hi everyone,

If you have been reading my blog, you would have noticed that I have already reviewed few hand creams. I started using hand creams a lot after moving to Turku due to the cold and dry weather here that makes the skin get dry and hand creams have become a necessity.  I also use body lotions as hand creams but reapplication has made me purchase hand creams so I can carry them and use them throughout the day.  Today, I will be reviewing the Garnier Intensive 7 Days Restoring Hand Cream which I picked up in London during last year Christmas visit.  I loved the Garnier body lotions which I have reviewed here and when I saw this in the shop, I got excited and purchased it as this one is not available in Finland.

Price:

     £ 2.99 for 100 mL (≅₹ 255 for 100 mL)

Ingredients:

Aqua / Water, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Myristyl Myristate, Benzoic Acid, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter / Shea Butter, Caprylyl Glycol, Olea Europaea Oil / Olive Fruit Oil, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil / Apricot Kernel Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Parfum / Fragrance

The hand cream comes in a mint green color plastic tube the same color like the body lotions (sadly the body lotions have been discontinued here and now we have anew variants) with cap attached to it.  I find these type of packing with cap attached perfect for on the go or travel and the packaging is also sturdy.  This hand cream smells pleasantly and mildly just like the body lotion and the smell vanishes in a couple of minutes post application.  The hand cream is not very thick nor runny but spreads well and get absorbed easily into the skin. Within few seconds of massaging the cream in the hands, the cream gets absorbed completely and leaves the hands moisturized but reapplication is required if you wash your hands frequently.  It is meant for dry and chapped hands and does moisturize well without being greasy and feels quite light on the skin. The hand cream does nothing to the cuticles though they do not claim to do so, but I would have liked it more if it had softened the cuticles or prevented hang nails.  Overall, it is a nice hand cream and I liked using it just like the body lotion.

Pros:

Widely available in some countries

Affordable and you do not need a lot, so it will last you couple of months depending on the usage

Sturdy convenient packaging

Creamy texture that spreads and get absorbed very well

Smell is mild and pleasant

Moisturizes the hands well but feels quite light

Does not feel greasy

Cons:

Availability depends on various countries

Contains Dimethicone which might not be preferred by all

Prettykooll rating: 4/5badge
