Lakme CC Cream Review
Today’s review is on the Lakme CC cream which I have been using for the past couple of months. If you have read my previous post here on the Pond’s CC cream which was dry for my skin and also the shade was little lighter, hence I started using the Lakme CC cream alternatively with the Pond’s one. Let’s see how it fared on me.
₹ 275 for 30 mL
About the Product:
Lakmé CC stands for Complexion Care cream. It combines the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of make-up to give you that perfect look in just a few minutes.
Its skin care benefits include sun protection (SPF 20), moisturizing, brightening and freshness while its make-up benefits are an even skin tone and basic coverage.
Lakmé CC comes in 2 shades – Beige (for a fair to wheatish complexion) and Bronze (for a dusky complexion) enabling you to choose the right shade for your complexion.
It is a light formulation that ensures the cream is easily absorbed into your skin and also gives it a perfect, even tone that looks natural and not made up.
I brought the CC cream in bronze shade as the beige shade felt slightly lighter for my skin tone like the Pond’s BB cream and I want it to look natural so went with the bronze shade and I am glad I did. The product comes in a golden color tube packaging and the CC cream has a usual cosmetic fragrance which is found in few Lakme products that fade away quickly post application. The cream is thin and blends easily when applied to moisturized skin. The shade is little darker than my skin tone but has enough yellow undertones, but it blends really well and adapts well to my skin tone. The CC cream has SPF20, gives an even skin tone, covers minor marks/imperfections, gives a semi-matte finish to the face and stays well till I remove it in the evening in the Turku weather. In hot and humid climates, it stays well for few hours and I can still see traces of it when I remove my makeup. People with oily skin can apply it as such especially in summer times, but others with dry or combination dry skin like me have to apply it on top of a moisturizer otherwise it will enhance dry patches slightly. It is really a good CC cream if your skin matches with the shade and you just apply it in a hurry as it blends very well into the skin and not like the Pond’s one which you have massage well to make it blend nicely into the skin. This gives a very natural finish and I am liking it a lot and use it most of the days and on days when I want a brighter look I mix the Pond’s BB cream and this one as it matches my skin tone perfectly and at the same time brighten my skin very well. If there is a shade in between the beige and bronze shade, then it would have been perfect for me, I really wish Lakme to come with few more shades and would love it more if it is slightly more moisturizing, greedy me 😀
