L’Oreal Paris HydraFresh Hydration + Antiox Active Night Mask-In Jelly Review
Today’s review is on the last product I am using from the L’Oreal Paris Hydra Fresh range which is the L’Oreal Paris HydraFresh Hydration + Antiox Active Supreme Night Mask-In Jelly, I have already reviewed the toner & day cream from this range and you can read it here & here.
₹ 599 for 50 mL in India but the same one is sold for SG$ 27.90(≅ ₹1300) in Singapore and almost equally similar price in other countries (:O)
Ingredients & About the Product:
I have already mentioned few times that my skin is combination-oily in summers and I prefer using light hydrating moisturizers both for day & night time and got the L’Oreal hydrafresh products for the summer. The night mask-in jelly as the name suggests is to be used at night and it comes in a pink luxurious glass tub packaging which is bulky but looks pretty. This as the name suggests has a texture of jelly rather than a gel as the name suggests and has a mild fragrance which also smells of alcohol due to its alcohol content like the emulsion which fades away as soon as you apply it on the skin. It spreads well on the skin, non-sticky and get absorbed well into the skin, even if applied slightly excessively. The mask-in jelly provides enough moisturization for my skin type and hence will be suitable for oily & combination-oily skin people, but if you have dry skin and also if you get dry patches during winters like me then the moisturization will not be enough though it is meant for all skin types. The jelly does not make the skin oily and in the morning the face is fresh and oil free which I like a lot. One tub will last for 2.5-3 months when used daily. I like the night jelly a lot more than compared to the emulsion mainly for the affordable price and it’s widely available in India. It has alcohol and dimethicone as few of the top listed ingredients though it also contains some natural ingredients like grape polyphenols and Frech Vosges Spa water which is enriched with minerals. It is meant for all skin types but with the high alcohol content I don’t think so it will suit dry skin and it might dry out the skin in the long run and this does not provide any other skin benefits other than hydration. I almost love this night jelly and would repurchase it, but with the high alcohol content and list of other chemicals in it, I personally prefer the Just Herbs Fair’e Mulethi-khus Skin Lightening Gel which give me much better results with added benefits.
Beautiful luxurious looking packaging
Smells mildly that fades away quickly post application
Lightweight jelly that gets absorbed well even if applied in excess
Makes the skin supple & smooth
Hydrates the skin decently
Little amount is needed so it will last for 2.5-3 months
It will suit normal, oily & combination-oily skin
French Vosges spa water with enriched minerals and grape polyphenols are added natural goodness
Doesn’t make the skin greasy
Affordable price and widely available in India
Contains alcohol & dimethicone as few of the top list ingredient which might explain for its immediate absorbency into the skin, but alcohol might dry out the skin in the long run
I personally prefer more natural based products and usually stay away from products with a long list of chemicals and it does nothing miraculously.
Moisturization will not be enough for dry skin though they claim it for all skin types
