Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Neutral Statement
Today I am reviewing a pretty nude shade from the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes called “Neutral Statement”. I have already reviewed Coral Craze & Nude Skin from the same range which I brought from India and they are cheaper compared to this one which my sister brought from USA.
US$ 2.50 – 3.99 for 7 mL (≅ ₹ 160 – 255) depending on where you buy it.
Neutral Statement is a beautiful pinkish nude color that goes opaque in 2-3 coats and also dries quickly after application. I do lots of household chores and with a baby around, washing hands often, most of my nail paints starts chipping in a couple of days. But this stayed well for 3-4 days and with a top coat it stayed well for 6-7 days which was quite surprising for me as the color show nail polishes that I brought from India starts chipping from the 2nd or 3rd day even with a top coat. The brush is quite good and the nail paint applies non-streaky giving a smooth glossy finish. I love this color a lot compared to the nude skin color as this has a beige & pink undertone to it and does not make my hands look dark. The shade also has fine shimmers which does not show up much in the nails and under some lightening it almost looks like my nails but better kind of shade. I have used few nude shades from the past which makes my hands look darker, but this shade just gave a more sophisticated neat look. Currently, I am obsessed with this color as it has a long wear time with top coat and suits as an office/work wear color. It is costly compared to the color show nail polishes in India and the differences that at least I noted were regarding the packaging, the color show is written in the bottle brought from USA whereas in India the it is written in the cap, the quantity is 6 mL in India whereas it is 7 mL in USA and the quality feels better in USA as it stayed well on my nails than the color show nail polishes I brought from India. I am not sure, but I think this particular shade is not available in India like few other shades from the Color Show range which did not hit the Indian market.
