Rimmel London Lasting Finish Powder Foundation Review
Half of the year is almost over and it’s just going fast for me. I am currently in India for one month vacation, relaxing and unwinding myself., I mostly do not buy base makeup products from Finland as it is hard to get a good match to my skin tone. Most of them have pink undertones, also available mostly in light shades as they are formulated according to the skin tone of the people here. That’s why in my blog you see myself mostly using products from India. This time my Revlon compact powder got finished which I reviewed here, and as I was leaving to India for a vacation, I just got myself a compact for me from Rimmel from Turku. Let’s see how it fared on me.
€ 9.90 for 7 g
About the Product:
A 2-in-1 wet and dry powder foundation that applies like a powder & covers like a liquid for medium to full buildable coverage that instantly masks imperfections.
Lasts for up to 25HRS. Coverage that won’t let you down
Apply in a circular motion using the built in sponge.
The powder comes in a transparent red color plastic case which is sturdy and travel-friendly and the puff that comes with the powder is also of good quality. I have this in the shade 001 Light Porcelain which is very light compared to my skin tone but blends into my skin and adapts well. It comes in two other different shade sin Finland and they look pinker compared to my skin tone. The powder is very finely milled and on application disappears into the skin completely. It does not feel chalky, blends well give decent coverage and helps in smoothing out pores and some minor imperfections in the face. I use it with a real technique brush or The Body Shop brush if I am applying it over foundation/bb cream or on top of my moisturizer/sunscreen. But, it can be used to apply as such using the sponge provided to get more coverage. It controls oil decently for 3-4 hours and for more hours in cool climate. It is is a highly matte compact and hence it is better to apply on top of moisturizer, but people with very oily skin can apply it without moisturizer especially in humid conditions. People with dry skin might find it more drying and it enhances all dry flakes or areas if the skin is not well moisturized. I have tried applying it as a wet foundation with the sponge provided but as it is very light compared to my skin tone it does not suit me. But, at the same time it provides good coverage and stays on face for 6-8 hours and the staying powder might be less in more hot or humid conditions. But, one has to moisturize the skin really very well otherwise it will not blend well into the skin. I prefer to use it as a compact and hence it suits me better.
