Ingredients & About the product:
I try to use body scrubs once a week and was mostly using homemade body scrubs for a very long time. Recently, when I thought of trying out some good body scrubs, I read few nice reviews regarding the Nature’s Co. body scrubs and thought of giving the Jasmine variant a try. The body scrub comes in a huge heavy tub with a lid to prevent leakage, but the bulkiness of the scrub does not make it travel friendly. I take a small amount of scrub in a spatula each time I am using it. The scrub has some oil in it, so each time I mix it before taking it out. As the name suggests it smells of Jasmine in a natural way but the fragrance is somewhat strong. I love jasmine flower fragrance, so you will like it if you like the fragrance of jasmine flowers. Though this one smells pleasantly, and not very artificial but if you are sensitive to strong fragrances or if you do not like the smell of jasmine flowers, then it is best to stay from this or smell it at the stores before buying it.
The scrub is actually not very harsh and when it mixes with water, the sugar granules get dissolved completely. When the sugar granules get dissolved you cannot scrub effectively and the oils also just get washed away with water. The best way to use this scrub or any scrubs with oils is to gently pat the skin with towel to absorb excess water and then to use the scrub on a light moist skin. This way the scrub spreads easily, the scrubbing action is effective and the oils moisturize the skin. This scrub leaves the skin smooth, supple and lightly moisturized because of the presence of oils in it. It washes off easily, does not leave any residue or did not cause any breakouts on my skin and a faint jasmine smell lingers in the skin for quite some time. I am not sure whether it will reduce stretch marks or scarring as claimed, but one has to use it consistently for a long time to see any effects. It also helps in reducing ingrown hairs, but most of the scrubs usually does it, even the home made scrubs if used consistently. The body scrub is costly, but it will come for 8-10 months if you use it 1-2 times/week, and so the price is justifiable. As with most of the Nature’s co products, I really wish they come in small quantity of 50 mL or 100 mL with less price tag so it is more affordable. Overall, for me, it just acts as a good hydrating body scrub with a nice smell, nothing extraordinary and hence this will not go into my most loved products list here. I will either stick to my home made body scrubs or try some other body scrubs from other brands in the future.
